My apologies for such a late review! I had a wonderful stay here this year during the summertime. I can recall a wonderful experience I had with one of the staff members Taylor! She had a wonderful attitude, a great smile and was very helpful when it came to servicing our room! Thank you Taylor and Selkirk hotel! She is a wonderful addition to your staff :)
We use this Hotel for both business and family travel accommodations and love everything about it - staff is professional and friendly and accommodating to our request to be near each other, the rooms are comfortable and always VERY clean, we appreciate all of the soap products provided and also the heavy duty paper towel for wipe ups! The breakfast has a lot of options and is tasty, the hotel is quiet and conveniently located near shopping and restaurants - both within walking distance. This last stay was with our extended family so the kids loved the pool and hot tub and we had a fantastic Suite for the family with young children - the extra bedroom made it easy for the kids to go to bed whilst the adults could still be visiting in the main room. We didn't use the kitchen of the suite but it looked to be well stocked and definitely would be helpful for a longer stay. Highly recommend!
Our U9 hockey team booked the last 8 rooms during a busy weekend in February, and had a great experience. Rooms and pool area were clean, breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. We were even given an unused meeting room in the common area to enjoy a team pizza dinner. Highly recommended!
I recently stayed at this hotel during my business trip to Selkirk. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made check-in smooth and stress-free. My room was comfortable, but a bit dated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was ideal—close to restaurants, Walmart etc. The breakfast buffet had scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages, pancakes, bagels, toast, pastries, cereal, 3 kinds of juice and coffee and it runs till 10 am, and the on-site amenities (gym, lounge, pool & hot tub) were well-maintained. Overall, a good experience. I would absolutely stay here again!
The hotel lobby is lovely and the rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful full complimentary breakfast and supply hot beverages all day long.
From the moment we walked in the door it was an amazing experience. The staff was so great and accommodating. The Hotel was super clean and the pool was great. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend!
We had a lovely day at the family suite. It was nice to have a separate bedroom with a door at TV and a king bed. In the living area was another queen bed and TV. In the living area was a couch/hide a bed and yet another TV. Kitchenette with stove, top mini fridge microwave and a set of four dishes and cutleryfor everyone. Large size bathroom. The only improvements I would say is more separation between the queen bed basically right in the living room. And it would be nice if the hotel had Netflix or something else. The array of channels are quite small with mainly news and sports and one kids channel that I could find. Pool area is nice and clean. Lots of clean towels. Free breakfast is quite good with hot, scrambled eggs, sausages, hashbrowns, make your own pancake, and other bread, choices, fruit choices.
We had a wonderful experience staying at the Canalta with our son’s hockey team. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group and made sure we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. We truly appreciated their exceptional hospitality!
